Tips For Days You Don’t Feel Like A Great Blogger

There are times when I want to write posts like this for bloggers but then I have second thoughts like, “Am I a blogger enough to give advice to others?” “I’m also in need of advice so who am I to give advice?” but then I thought, will there ever be a point I will get to that I would feel like, yes I’m now “blogger enough”! 😂😂

Who best to encourage bloggers like a blogger, you know? And no matter how big it small you think your platform is, there’s always something to learn from everyone.

I’ve been blogging for more than 3 years now and I’ve definitely had days where I struggled with blogging cause I felt like my content was below average and everyone else writes better than me. Every time I tried writing, I would feel dissatisfied with whatever I came up with and I would just close the app.

There might be someone reading this that’s going through the same thing so I thought I’d let you know that:

☁️ There’s no great blogger

Blogging is a form of expression/communication. I think it’s the rawest form of content creation. A lot of things can be hidden behind pictures and lots of things get edited out in videos but choosing to publish posts in form of written content is like putting out a piece of yourself/ your mind. There’s no great blogger, your blog is who you are and just like people are different, our blogs are different too. You shouldn’t compare yourself to another blogger because you do not live the same life. Trying to make your content “fit in” or be like everyone else’s, defeats the point of having a blog.

Believe me, we’re all trying to figure it out together.

☁️ There’s no perfect post

There are times I read posts by bloggers I follow and I think, “Why don’t I write like this?” “How come this person is always able to come up with such good posts?”. But as I became more focused on loving myself, I realized that belittling my content or my blog was like bashing myself. This is my creative outlet, a place of MY OWN so I should feel proud of my blog. No one is perfect, there’s no perfect post. Your posts are amazing and raw and believe me, you will find your audience.

☁️ Stay true to yourself

You might feel discouraged because you don’t meet your goals or you feel like you’re stuck but it is important to stay true to who you are. There is someone that looks forward to your posts because of how unique you are. You can’t enjoy the art of blogging if you focus on trying to be like others.

Last year was a very downtime for my blog. I felt discouraged and depressed. I couldn’t blog cause I felt like nothing I wrote was valuable and no one really cared about what I wrote.

After a very long break and much-needed reflection, I realized that I started this blog for myself, a place to openly be and express myself and that hasn’t changed. Whatever benefit comes with this blog (followers, exposure, engagements) is just a plus, I’m doing this for me. I’ve taken up that mindset since I got back from my break and it has been a blissful ride.

I hope this post will encourage someone today to not feel downcast or feel like they need to be like someone else. Your blog is unique and we want to hear what YOU have to say.

What do you do on days you don’t feel like a great blogger? I wanna know

When I feel like I’m not a great blogger, I take a few days off. It really helps me to start writing and come back stronger. You don’t need to pressure yourself to write consistently. Write when you feel like it otherwise don’t. That’s my policy.
