Heyyy
Today I thought of doing something interesting. Now, I canāt remember where exactly I got this idea from cause this was a while ago but one of the blogs I follow, (I have a strong feeling itās Flora, if itās not Iām sorry š¬) reacted to some facts about the breed her dog belongs to. I found it very funny so I decided to try it with my dog too.
My dog is a German shepherd. Heās going to be 5 years this year. Most of our visitors always say our dog isnāt like the regular German shepherd cause heās really calm, playful and friendly to everyone. I think itās the way we trained himš¶ but heās becoming a bit fierce to strangers these days so thatās good.
Well I thought it would be fun to react to some facts about German shepherds and kind of compare them to my dog. Sounds fun
Okay!
The facts I will be reacting to were gotten from (here)

1. German Shepherds will explore everything with their noses
This is so true! My dog sniffs every freaking thing. Iām telling you, everything! I donāt think thereās something in my house he hasnāt sniffed yet. Every corner, door, furniture, everything. Itās so annoying but cute at the same time.
2. GSDs are incredibly smart
This is also true. My dog was very easy to train. He learns very fast. Although, sometimes he chooses to be stubborn but you can tell he knows what you want him to do, heās just choosing not to for whatever reason š. He also knows when heās done something wrong and when he sees youāre about to scold him, he runs into his cage or under the car where you wonāt reach. Sneaky dogš
3. German Shepherd Dogs are protective of their loved ones
Is my dog protective? Yes he is, I think. Weāve never been in a state of danger where heās had to show his protectiveness so I donāt know.
4. GSDs provide constant companionship
This is so true and so cute š
My dog is literally always beside you. Heās like a hand bag. There is nowhere he wonāt follow you to. Even if you just want to tie your shoelace, heāll literally bend with you and try to kiss your face. If you want to wash your hands, heāll go with you, spread your clothes, heās beside you. We had to train him so many times just so he would stop following the car when we drive outš but itās so cute. You would never feel lonely when heās around. Iām in school right now and I miss him a lot.
5. German Shepherds are known as a mouthy breed
More info: This mouthing behavior is natural, so expect your GSD to mouth you and chew anything that will fit inside their mouth. However, that doesnāt mean you should allow it. What might be cute in your small puppy will get more powerful as your dog grows up. Training your dog not to bite your hand or the chew on the furniture is essential with this breed. Teach your German Shepherd to channel those instincts safely and appropriately.
This is very very true. When my dog was a puppy, he used to chew everything. Our fingers (he couldnāt bite yet), stones, slippers, clothes, pipes etc. Our Vet warned us about it so we had to get him little toys he could chew on. Eventually he stopped trying to chew everything but when he was little, omg we had to watch him alot cause something was always in his mouth.
6. German Shepherds shed
Ah this! So so annoying!
I heard German shepherds shed but I didnāt know it was continually! They have very thick coat so they shed A LOT! My dog is constantly shedding. Fur balls are everywhere š. When weāre going out, we try to avoid him rubbing us cause then we get fur all over our clothesā¹ļø. This is a warning ā ļø German shepherds shed A LOT!
7. German Shepherd Dogs are known for their versatility
I donāt know cause my dog is a domestic/security dog so he doesnāt really do anything asides lie around, bark at strangers and other animals and follow us around. Heās good at football though, if that counts š
8. GSDs are super active
This is very very very accurate! I donāt know where my dog gets his energy from. He is so energetic. He wonāt rest unless you take him on a longggggggg walk and then he eats. Sometimes he just randomly starts running laps around the compound and heās very fast. Heās also very playful, he canāt even tell when youāre tired. He just always wants to play.
9. German Shepherds are members of the Herding Group
More info: So, if you own this breed, youāre no stranger to a nose nudging you. Whether itās a nose in the back, a nose on your leg, or even a nose in your face, your dog is just doing what comes naturally.
Why is everything so accurate? This is very true and very annoying. Infact, recently he has started putting his nose in weird places I would not mention (youād have to guess on your own but I promise this place is very inappropriate). Weāre trying to get him to stop now. Heās just always nudging his nose everywhere!
10. GSDs are loving companions
This is so true. My dad says it everytime, āBruno is very lovingā and he really is. I think you can tell from everything Iāve said in this post.
That concludes todayās post!
I hope you enjoyed it cause I definitely enjoyed talking about my dog. I donāt think I have before.
Would you like me to do more dog talks? Do you have own a dog, if not what pet do you own? Do you prefer dogs or cats?

Four. One is a mix. His mom was a white shep. We just rescued a new girl two months ago. She was a little much for her previous owner.
