A Few Words of Encouragement ft my snapshots

How’re you today?

And before you reply with the obvious “I’m fine”, really think about it. Are you?

As for me, well, I truly don’t know

But I’m trying to be so that’s a start!

The fact that you’re here, you haven’t given up yet, you’re getting up everyday, that’s a great start.

You’re truly amazing🤍

You’re super important. Your thoughts matter, your feelings matter, what you think of yourself matter, how you think people should treat you also matters. Everything about you is valid so remember to always choose yourself.

You come first, always.

When you feel overwhelmed, tired or frustrated, just take a deep breath *breatheeee*. You can cry, if you want. I always cry, it’s no big deal. As long as you find a way to let it out.

You shouldn’t bottle emotions in. That’s not good.

I hope you have someone or someway you’re able to open up when you feel like you need to💕

I took a walk last week. It was exhilarating. I felt relief. I had been hooked up with school work, trying to be a good friend, amazing daughter, best sister that I had forgotten how to be my friend.

Even though I always feel like I’m obligated to serve others in detriment to myself. I’m working on it right now. Putting myself first, I guess that’s what this year is going to be about.

Make time for yourself, do the things that make you happy. It doesn’t have be something very spectacular. It could be just sleep. If you’ve been missing that a lot then you should definitely get some.

I’ve been watching movies, reading a webtoon (who would’ve thought?), sleeping, eating and trying to hang out with my friends.

You should do something this week. Something you didn’t do last week or the week before. Maybe eat something you’ve been craving, go somewhere you’ve wanted to go, try something you’ve been meaning to try, just do something out of your ordinary.

I see most of you have written posts on your plans and goals for this year. I think that’s amazing. It’s good to be intent, you know? Setting goals is the first step to achieving it, they say. You’re one step closer, I’m proud of you.

If at any point you feel overwhelmed, just pause. You don’t have to do it all at once, right? Just relax, take some time off before going back.

The fastest doesn’t always win the race

Also, for those that need encouragement to start something they’ve always wanted to. I’m here to say, please do. Please.

I completely understand how you feel, the uncertainty, the fear that no one will care, that what if you’re not good or consistent enough. YOU ARE and even if you end up dropping it midway, at least you tried. At least, you did it. You didn’t give up before you started and that’s a huge deal.

I was so unsure of starting this blog cause I’m never consistent at anything and also I thought, who’s going to read it? But here I am, two years later, with an amazing and supportive community and a space I can call my own and sometimes it’s tiresome but it feels really good.

I hope I’m able to motivate you. Please go ahead and do whatever it is you want to do.

I don’t know but I’ve got a good feeling about this week, for you and I. Something nice is going to happen for sure.

I can’t wait!

Aww, I loved this post, Ib! Really.
Sometimes we really need to hear something like this…
I hope to focus on my priorities this week…
And my only goal for this year is not to stress myself, lol-

i cried today, it helped me feel better 😌💛
overwhelm and worry keep getting to me but better days are on the horizon!
i’m fighting a headache right now but emotionally i’m getting stronger and stronger 💖
