TWTW: Cast Your Cares! (FT. Crystal Nkemeh)

Hello and welcome back to the blog!

I’m so so excited about today’s post. It is my first guest post on the Time With The Word series! I’m so happy about the guest God led me to choose. I’m happy about the way the Spirit is going to use her to touch someone’s soul today.

Our guest today is Crystal Nkemeh!

CAST YOUR CARES!

In recent times, I talked about Viju Milk a lot for some reason, maybe not a lot, but it can come up. It is because I saw it in the supermarket one day and just decided to relive my childhood and I fell in love again. So, I started to talk about it a lot at home. One day, I come home from work and open the fridge, and I see two there. I asked my mum who owns it, and she said she got it for me, and I asked, “the two of them?’”, she said yes, that she could not get a pack. Ngl, I shed a little tear, because I did not even ask, it was such an intentional and caring gesture.

Now, Matthew 7:11 says “If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”

Trust me, if you currently have a walk with God, you can testify to at least three times, the Lord has shown you how intentional He is about you. If you do not think so let me show three scriptures that can help with that:

“See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.” (Isaiah 49:6 NIV)

See when someone writes or inscribes your name on their palms, it is not just for play, it is with an intention. Imagine, just imagine, when God looks at His palms, He sees your name engraved in them, He looks and say “Oh my child, what can I do for you today”, “ How are you feeling?”, “what can I teach you this season?”. Your name is not there today and washed off the next, it is kept there because He is constantly thinking about you. (Read Psalms 139:17)

“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born, I set
you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” (Jer 1:5 NLT)

The first time I read this scripture, I was moved, it felt like God was talking to me directly, “Crystal I knew you”, before your parents ever even thought of coming together, before your dad dropped some rizz for your mum, I have known you and not just that, I had set you apart. You set something apart because you have an intention for it. You are not a mistake; every creation has an intention by the creator.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ
died for us.” (Romans 5:8 NIV)

Imagine you are a parent, if you knew your Child will fail or not finish school or will drop out, will you still go ahead and pay your hard-earned money as school fees for them? As for me, the Spirit will lead me lol. But Christ! knowing some will not even accept Him, the people there at His crucifixion spat on Him, insulted Him, and did all manner of sort, yet He still chose to die for them. When I was not even thinking about my creator, when I was still living in sin, Christ died for me, He died for you. Tell me, what shows intentionality and love more than that?

So if you are reading this, I want you to know that God is intentional about you, trust Him that He won’t leave your life to chance, even to the smallest detail of your life, whether it be as big as a Career choice or who to marry, to as little as what you want to wear today. He cares, truly, and you need no greater proof than His death to show you that. Commit everything you do to His hands, tell Him your plans, discuss with Him, spend quality time talking to Him and you will not regret it. Who better to trust with your life than the one who sees the end from the beginning?

Prayer: God, I thank you for being so intentional about me, I know that your thoughts towards me are of good and not evil, please help me to trust You more with all my cares and plans. Thank you Father. In Jesus name, Amen.

Amen!

Thank you so much Crystal, for sharing such a beautiful reminder of God’s intentional love and care for us. Your words have truly blessed this space today.

I recently shared a moment where God reminded me of how intentional He is, even in the little things so I was very excited to see that the Spirit led Crystal to write on it as well.

To everyone who read through this post, I hope it touched your heart as much as it did mine. If you enjoyed this, let us know in the comments.
