I used to journal a lot when I was younger. It was one of my favorite things to do but I stopped after a while.
Why did I stop journaling?
I attended a Catholic boarding school instead of a regular high school and trust me, there was a huge difference. There were so many dos and don’ts, so many rules. I didn’t realize how insane it was till I graduated.
Apparently, having a diary was also against the rules. I don’t think it was an actual offense but some teachers used to seize our diaries. Now that I think about it, they probably seized them so they could breach our privacy and somehow entertain themselves. Messed up, I know.
My diaries got seized a good number of times for me to just give up. Ever since then, I sort of lost the habit of journaling.
That is, until now!

I finally settled with a notebook I could use as a journal and I’m excited to start journaling again!
Hope you enjoyed my post! Let me know in the comments if you would like to hear more stories about my boarding school experience! I could make “Boarding School Chronicles” a thing.
Do you journal? What was your high school experience like?

That is honestly so unfair…journaling is such a good habit to adopt and it’s sick that your teachers confiscated them. I hope you can rekindle journaling!
