A Day In My Life: Back To School Edition

My second semester officially begins tomorrow! Next tomorrow actually but I’m moving back to my hostel tomorrow and there is still a ton of stuff left for me to do so I thought writing a post on how my last days are usually like would be fun.

I haven’t had time to prepare at all cause I’ve been assisting my mum with work so I really only have today to do everything I need to.

I woke up at 7:20am, made my bed, brushed my teeth, did my daily devotion and then scrolled on Tiktok for about 10mins then went downstairs to do my laundry.

My laundry took about an hour cause I didn’t really have much to wash. Just the clothes I wore the previous week. Then I cleaned my compound because the dogs usually mess it up while playing in the night.

After that I washed my bathroom and cleaned my room. I always do this a day before I leave because I have that mindset of “I should leave my room the same way I want to meet it” so that when I come back from school, everywhere is pretty and tidy. I cleaned my sister’s room as well, a little bit.

Then I had my bath and had breakfast. My parents had stuff to do so we left the house by 12pm. My dad needed me to take some pictures of the lands he’s working on marketing online (he’s a real estate surveyor).

After that, we went to the supermarket to get somethings I need for school. I got coffee, sanitary towels, tissue, cereals and other stuff. Then we went to the pharmacy cause my mum is a bit under the weather. I also got my vitamins for the next month.

Then we went to the mechanic workshop cause my dad needed to service the car so while he was doing that, my mum and I went to the salon but because she forgot the nails she wanted to fix, she didn’t end up doing it there. I got my hair trimmed and we contemplated dyeing it again since the dye has washed off but we didn’t want to have to get a new one cause I still had dye at home so we just left.

After servicing the car and getting fuel, we went back home. We had dinner by 6pm then my mum and I went to a salon close to my house.

I dyed my hair again, got my nails done and got my brows trimmed. My mum did the same, asides dyeing.

We got back home by 10pm. I had my bath and did my night routine.

I finally packed all my stuff, made sure I didn’t forget anything and finally, I laid in bed.

I’m currently drafting this post at 12:35am. Once I’m done, I will scroll Tiktok and catch up with my favorite creators and then go to bed.

Sorry I did take a lot of pictures today! I initially didn’t plan to write this post but since I did so much, I thought I had to share it with you guys🥹🫶🏽
