The Struggles Of Dyeing My Hair

Hi guys!

How was our first week in the new year?

As some of you know, dyeing my hair was one of the things that I wanted to do this holiday and your girl did it!

Everyone told me what the pros of dyeing your hair are but no one told me what the CONS are and there are quite a bunch!

Pooja mentioned that she is also planning to dye her hair and I figured some of you might have that plan at the back of you heads too so as the amazing person that I am, I have to decided to share some of the least favorite aspects of my hair dye journey.

DYE STAINS!

I know y’all are like “duh!”. I know! I expected it to stain…for like the first week but this thing keeps staining forever 😂. My towels are white so you can imagine how shocked I was when I tried wiping my face and the towel turned red cause it touched my baby hairs. It gets better as the dye washes off anyways.

NO WARM WATER

I am a hot/warm water person. I hate having my bath with cold water. I would only do that if there is no other option but apparently, warm water washes off the dye faster than cold water. Because I’ve been using warm water to bathe, a good amount of the dye is gone so now I’m trying not to vigorously wet my hair everyday. Just some sprinkles here and there. I miss the feeling of water running down from my head to my toes.

WASHES OFF AT DIFFERENT FREQUENCIES

So my dye is slowly washing off already but not equally! I have like 3 different colors on my hair right now. I don’t know if it depends on which side gets the most water or hair products. My baby hairs in front are washing off quicker and I guess it’s cause they’re thin and little, I don’t know.

These are the top most annoying things about dyeing my hair!
